I am very pleased to welcome all families to the 2025 school year at St Patrick's College, Gympie.
We are an authentic Catholic College which welcomes students from all faiths and backgrounds and where we embrace the diversity of our family demographics, in offering a learning and teaching agenda that meets the needs of our students with a strong future focus.
At St Patrick's College we foster an environment of high expectations and high support for all stakeholders and are guided by the shared values and beliefs of the “St Pat's Way" documents for staff, students and parents.
The college has a reputation for successfully preparing our graduates to be positive contributors to society by setting high standards in all aspects of the life of the College. We offer a comprehensive curriculum and in addition to our core subjects, students will experience a wide range of elective options before choosing their Academic and Vocational specialisations for their senior years.
We provide a comprehensive Pastoral Care program as we understand that student wellbeing is imperative for all students to achieve to their potential. We are committed to being authentic in preparing our students for the challenges presented by the modern society, while retaining the unique traditions and practices that are our foundation and give us our family friendly atmosphere.
St. Patrick's College has a very positive and transparent workplace culture which carries over into the relationships we have with our community.

Our History and Mission
St Patrick’s College has a rich heritage rooted in faith and service. Since the arrival of the Sisters of Mercy in Gympie in 1879, and later the Christian Brothers in 1904, the College has been a welcoming home for generations of students and families. The charisms of Catherine McAuley and Edmund Rice continue to inspire our commitment to the spiritual, pastoral, academic, and physical development of each student.
Our mission today reflects this proud tradition.
Our Vision
At St Patrick’s College, we strive to be a faith-filled community guided by the Gospel values of love, forgiveness, respect, sensitivity, and justice.
We are committed to:
Fostering a deep, personal relationship with God
Our strong connection with St Patrick’s Church and Parish, along with a vibrant Religious Education program and a rich prayer life, encourages students to embrace the values and ethos of the Sisters of Mercy and the Christian Brothers.
Living Gospel values in all we do
We aim to model the values of the Catholic faith in our interactions within the school and the wider community. By encouraging personal responsibility and compassion, our students develop as respectful global citizens. Service and social justice initiatives are central to student life, with many students taking active leadership roles in projects that benefit both local and international communities.
Promoting holistic development
We nurture the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth of every student. Recognising that each learner shines in their own way, we provide a broad range of curricular and co-curricular opportunities to help every student let their light shine. It is a privilege to witness their growth and success.
