Meet Our Library Team

The St Patrick’s College Library is supported by a dedicated and professional team passionate about promoting reading, supporting research, and providing a wide range of library services.

Michelle Tappin – Teacher Librarian & Library Manager
Michelle is committed to fostering digital citizenship and literacy development across all year levels. She delivers workshops on referencing, using online databases, and research skills. Through the Accelerated Reader program and regular updates to our Fiction collection, Michelle encourages a lifelong love of reading.

Ivie Fernandes Rodrigues – Library Aide
Ivie provides day-to-day support in the library, assisting students with borrowing, printing, and accessing library services.

Included in the College’s library offerings are:

  • Textbook hire (both digital and hardcopy)

  • Borrowing of books and resources

Library System – Oliver

Oliver is our 24/7 Library Management System, allowing students to:

  • Search the library catalogue

  • Access digital resources

  • Manage personal borrowing profiles

  • Reserve, renew, and request resources

  • Create personal reading lists

Library staff are available during school hours to provide support.

Our collection is carefully curated to meet both academic and recreational reading needs, including:

Accelerated Reader Program

Designed for Year 7 and 8 students, the Accelerated Reader (AR) program supports literacy by combining regular reading time with comprehension tracking. Students attend a dedicated library lesson each week and are encouraged to explore genres they enjoy. AR results help guide reading development and promote reading for pleasure.


Research Support – LearnPath

LearnPath is an interactive research platform curated by our library team. It provides:

  • Subject- and year-level specific research guides

  • Curriculum-aligned resources and digital content

  • 24/7 access through Oliver

Students can access:

Campion MyConnect

MyConnect provides seamless access to digital textbooks and learning content through Oliver, supporting both classroom and remote learning​.
