Drama is an art form highly accessible to young people. It is about living and learning and challenges students to make meaning of the world around them, in understanding themselves and others.

Many activities are aimed at helping develop students’ confidence and creativity. Through engaging in the Drama curriculum, students have opportunity to build self-discipline and cooperation through a varied range of individual and group contexts. Throughout the year, theatre companies such as Shake n Stir and Shock Therapy Productions visit the school to give students the opportunity to be immersed in professional live theatre.

Through devising, performing and responding to plays and theatre, students develop key skills for playing a full and active part in a multi-cultural and changing society. Any career path which involves social interaction and public presentation will be enhanced by the study of Drama.
